Multi-objective optimization of container-based microservice scheduling in edge computing

Edge computing provides physical resources closer to end users, becoming a good complement cloud computing. With the rapid development of container technology and microservice architecture, orchestration has become hot issue. However, container-based scheduling problem in edge is still urgent be solved. In this paper, we first formulate as multi-objective optimization problem, aiming optimize network latency among microservices, reliability applications load balancing cluster. We further propose latency, aware (LRLBAS) algorithm determine deployment Our proposed based on particle swarm (PSO). addition, give handling strategy separate fitness function from constraints, so that each two values. algorithm, new comparison criterion introduced certain proportion infeasible particles are reserved adaptively. Extensive simulation experiments conducted demonstrate effectiveness efficiency compared with other related algorithms.
